This is an update to this thread.

This, Creationists, is partly why we are happy with the result of the case.

WILLIAMSPORT - A federal prosecutor said testimony in the Dover Area School District's intelligent design case is under review to determine if perjury charges should be pursued.

U.S. Middle District Attorney Thomas A. Marino said yesterday that decision will take time because there is "a lot of reading to do" to determine if the statements rise to the level of a crime.

Funny how it's the supposedly "moral" Creationists under accusation of lying. Let me guess, another conspiracy theory?

I've been watching House M.D. :p and this came to mind the moment I saw this: "Patients lie. Tests don't." XD

Any bets on how long it takes before the creationists start crying "Conspiracy! Persecution!" ? ... My guess is 12 hours. ;)

Plain silly. Half the witnesses lie in most any court case. The only people expected to tell the truth in court are police officers.

Not true. When I served on Jury Duty, one of the questions I was asked as part of the voir dire proceedings was, "would I give a police officer's testimony any more or less weight than any other witness?"

Had I answered yes, I'd have been excused from the jury. An officer is not supposed to be given any more or less trust than anyone else.

If a person pleads innocent and is found guilty then either the defendant or the witnesses lied.
as the above poster mentioned, this is simply untrue. i just wanted to re-iterate this simple point, just do that others don't walk away believing you that lying is ok.
