@David Hunter Your friend Ricky should have pressed charges against her. She committed an unnecessary act of violence. If it had been him pepper spraying her, we know she would have most certainly have pressed charges against him.

Us Christians do not need to tolerate violence against us anymore. Have you noticed how much more violent America has been and we don't do anything about it?

I will pray for your friend and his safety when he evangelizes. I would also advise him to have some kind of safety weapon with him, like pepper spray. He may need it in the future.

As other posters above have stated, you need to be taking well thought out safety precautions, much more than you once did.

I saw this first hand in the years that I taught in the University of Houston. Kids are indeed changing and leaning towards the left and are prong to bouts of anger and hate. I am not surprised though as kids these days are not being shown coping skills and critical thinking. Most just get their ideology on line and from friends.

As Christians, we should encourage people to live in a way that reflects righteousness and not evil. But these talks also create an opportunity to tell the Gospel. That is, Jesus died for our sins and those people who believe will be saved. But belief has actions with it. So, simply confessing with no heart change means nothing. So confess and believe and live according to that belief. - Honour God

So you do not want to share Jesus so they will receive God's free gift of Eternal Life. Just that they will be forgive for having an abortion or supporting abortion.

Because being forgiven for having an abortion or supporting abortion. Gives no person God's free gift of Eternal Life, only belief in Jesus does.

To the OP, my thoughts to share on these gestures:

People threaten to actually kill me when gently holding an image of Jesus outside of PP, stole our signs from out front and followed me home calling me ">>>>>" all the way home

All these and other threats are taken in stride as a part of being a missionary disciple

I do not retaliate like they choose to do, I pray for them instead

Martyrdom is a one way ticket to heaven

The evil one has already lost and hatred and violence are nothing but empty gestures

Jesus thought we were worth dying for.

If you cast pearls before pigs, they won’t value them. In the same way, if we present the Gospel to someone who doesn’t recognise their need for salvation, they may reject it or even turn against us. That’s why it’s important first to use the Law to show them their need for a Saviour. Once they understand their need, they will be able to truly appreciate the Good News of Christ.

He was arguing that we are more than just an evolutionary process. This means he was arguing for the existence of a creator.
Sometimes, we need to show a person that God exists to start off with. Then, once they think that there is a God, we need to tell them the Gospel.
So, he was still evangelising. He may not have been telling the Gospel, but he was getting the person to come to the conclusion of the first point, that we are not an evolutionary process and that there is a creator.

Maybe that is because in other threads you preach that all a person needs to do is to believe and they are saved. Even if they carry on in habitual sin without feeling any once of remorse, then they are still saved.
Maybe your message is warped.

hypocrisy/or to mock the passion and death of our Lord?

interestingly, as I looked in the young face of a twenty year old woman threatening me, I could see myself all those years ago

and I sincerely said, " I love you."

She lost it and whipped out her phone to record me

And found she just could not do it.

She got in her car and looked horrified.

I met her hatred with love.

I thank God for using me and all of my past problems in life, to see into the heart of this young woman.

Saying I love her left her speechless and unable to commandeer her phone and get it to work.

So she left in a hurry and never returned again.

I pray that a seed got planted, as it was the images of Jesus that I was literally holding which disturbed her and got this whole personal attack going.

Perhaps she was hoping to goad me into a hate response?!
