People pleasing is a form of idoling. We are meant to please God not people. Of course it is good to share the love of God with people...who does that please? God.
But if it's to gain their approval we are exalting their opinion of us over our Obedience to God. We should always love and reach out to others, but we must make sure that we are always led by Holy Spirit. Especially around unbelievers because they don't have the same mindset yet.
We are not of this world, and it's ok to blend in a little. Just never lose your integrity and your identity in Christ. He will show you.
Sometimes it's hard to do this...our soul may want to conform to the situation. We are so blessed as Christians to be able to not need to conform, and also not judge the people around us either.
I sometimes need a Holy Spirit check about this sometimes. It's a process.
The love of God is an amazing thing!
We are called to love everyone. There will be people we like and dislike. That just kind of happens. But that's our soul that is in charge of that. So Concentrate on that amazing love that is inside your spirit. That pleases God.
John 15:18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.
John 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
II Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
II Corinthians 6:15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
I Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”
John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
