people are depressed and hurting and broken everywhere

Christians are so needed in the world

needed to be salt and light


to volunteer in soup kitchens

in shelters

in institutions

to feed a hungry person if they can

to invite outcasts and hurting for a coffee or tea or meal
if at all possible



to counsel and pray for hurting people


to take time to visit the hurting and the ill


to encourage people

people with debts need to be forgiven and loved on
and shown mercy


they need someone to show them they have value

are lovable

and worthwhile

that Jesus wants to reconcile with them and restore them and heal them

that they have hope


people in hospitals or old folks need company and care


homeless people need a shoulder or just someone to listen and treat them valuable

people need encouragement


christians are in a war

a battle


every soldier is neccesary


people need the love of Jesus

they need mercy

they need to see they are lovable


people are crying out

groaning for the sons of God to be revealed

to see love and mercy and truth

to know they matter

to see light and a straight road

to know Jesus values and loves them

and will forgive them

and give them hope and a future

broken people need the oil and the wine poured in


hurting people at churches need someone to phone them


people on crisis lines need help

christians are desperately needed in the world
as always but so very very much today

we must pray always
we must not faint

the time is short

There is so much the church could do for the hurting, it is a pity so many opportunities are missed.

Jesus gave us 2 commandments:

1. Love God with all your heart and soul
2. Love thy neighbor

Giving compassion, understanding, service, charity, time, and prayer not only allows us to heal our own turmoils, but its fullfilling what our Lord commanded us to do. A fitting reminder for this upcoming Lenten season.

It's so good for us all to remember that no matter how weak and incapable we feel, it's not about what we feel, it's about the Lord equipping us with even the simple things like smiling at a stranger or saying a prayer. These things matter so much because they are light and salt in a lost and dying world. Thanks for pointing that out. You are a good encourager.
