Penny rugs

Hi! I was introduced to penny rugs last Friday night, and I am very interested in them! I am working on ornaments right now...simple for an introduction.

Does anyone here do them? I'd love to find out more. I am looking for online sites for free patterns, too.

Never heard of them, Tiradas. Do you use actual pennies in making them? Could you substitute other coins for a bigger/smaller rug?

Of course, I suppose pennies are the cheapest to work with. A rug made of quarters could get a little pricey!

You don''t actually put pennies or any other coins in the rugs. You can make the round patterns from the coins.
