Is wearing a St.Christoper pendant acceptable to wear as a Christian? I have been thinking of replacing it with a Cross but from what I see there are alot of different types of cross's as well. Is there any cross's that are not good? I see Orthodox, Celtic, Egyptian, eternal etc. Any idea's? Thanks

What do each of them mean to you? What would you want them represent to others that see them?
Some like the empty cross as a sign of the resurrection of Jesus and His being alive. Others want to commemorate the death and sacrifice of Jesus hanging on the cross.
I personally, like to think of the living Christ, but never felt comfortable with things hanging around my neck - so to each his own.

As long as your faith is what that pendant represents (ie: Christ) rather than the pendant itself.

I've thought about getting a cross pendant myself... However, I want to make sure I do it for the right reasons...

Why would wearing a cross be anymore spiritual? A cross was a method the Romans used to torture and kill people? It's the motive of the heart... And it's more up to you, yes don't let anyone stumble by it. But it's really between your heart and God... Ask why you want it...

I believe many Catholics wear symbols of their patron Saint.

Any cross is fine, but you should pick one that you can associate with. I would not suggest a Orthodox (three-bar) cross unless you are indeed Orthodox.

I can think of several reasons, among them

1Corinthians 1:18
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Galatians 6:14
But far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. ​

Thanks Philip! I think everyone else was getting the wrong impressing like I was wanting one for the Bling Bling or somthing....but who am I to judge what they were thinking. It would be a reminder of what Jesus did and a daily reminder to keep me going in the right direction.

I like to wear a cross, its my little reminder throughout the day, and it also shows others what i believe, people ask questions more often i find.

I carry a Cross in my pocket --
A simple reminder to me
Of the fact that I am a Christian,
No matter where I may be.
This little Cross is not magic,
Nor is it a good-luck charm.
It isn't meant to protect me
From every physical harm.
It's not for identification,
For all the world to see.
It simply is an understanding
Between my Savior, and me.
When I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or key,
The Cross is there to remind me
Of the price He paid for me.
It reminds me too, to be thankful
For my blessings day by day --
