how much is a decent pen pad thingy for a computer, you know the pen pads where you write on it and it comes up on the screen. just a decent one, i know they get really expensive, like the ones that have screens on the pad itself.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My sweet hubby bought me one for my birthday (bless his heart). I love to draw so that's why I wanted one, but you can use handwriting software with it, too. I have a Graphire 2 tablet by Wacom. It was around $100. Now, they have the Graphire 3 (updated version of the Graphire 2) for the same price and it's about the best you can do before they get REALLY expensive ($250 and up). My has a small active area (drawing surface)...only 4x5...but I really don't find the small surface to be a problem. Wacom is pretty much the top company for quality tablets. Let me just add that I LOVE my tablet. It's pressure sensitive and the end of the stylus can be used as an eraser (just like a regular pencil). It also comes with a wireless mouse but I recommend not buying it for that purpose. The mouse can only be used on the tablet surface which makes it pretty much useless to me, but maybe you like that
It was $100 well spent, especially if you're interested in it for artistic purposes.
