CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Love Pedro the Lion! I saw the band live a year ago actually. Actually, I believe Bazaan is one of the best story tellers in rock..christian or secular. Do you have a favorite album? My two favorites are Control and Winners Never Quit.

well..i wanted to see if this band was mentioned here in these forums..and looks like they were... dave is coming out with a new album in a couple months.I really want to see this guy live but hes not playining on southern california... check him out.....for those who think a christian cannot make good music.
oh and while your at it, check out Over The Rhine, another 'christian' band that makes incredible music, provided that you like female vocalists.

I used to listen to them, I stopped, only because I find it very depressing. Always thought it was cool that they are Christians, but yeah, the music depressed me too much for some reason. My friend likes them, got one of their cds, and on the cd, or inside cover ( I cant remember) was an lllustration of a guy holding a gun to his head.that basically sums up my thoughts on their music. hahah. its pretty cool though. I really like "the rapture".
