  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My Mum makes a mean pear crumble.

Peel and slice 4 pears, place in dish

Add 2 tbsp golden syrup and the grated rind of 1 lemon

Cover with crumble mix (100g flour rubbed together with 50g sugar and 50g butter) and shove in the oven (switched on of course) for 20mins or until golden brown on top

Or there's this... our favourite way to serve sausages. its not a dessert but it does taste great and it uses pears.

Slice sausage lengthways (as if it were a hot dog bun)
Press 1/4 of a peeled pear into the slot
Wrap sausage and pear in a slice of bacon
Cook in oven for 40mins

Mmmmmmmmmmm. Serve with mashed potato and lots of gravy.

Sorry... thought of another....

You need:

A tin
Cling film
Pears
Ginger biscuits
Vanilla Ice cream

Peel and puree the pears
Bash up the ginger biscuits
Line the tin with cling film.

Put the ice cream, bashed biscuits and pears randomly into the tin to create a marble effect. Put the tin in the freezer for a bit and then... enjoy!! :p
