I referred to a very specific time when that is what happened.
Other times, other places, those who fight often died and cause gruesome deaths as well.
Those who did not fight also died, or may have died, but without causing death themselves.

To have peace with the Creator, a clear conscience with Him Forever, obey Him.

However Russia does not seem intent on Ukraine as a whole but of old strategic territory. What would be the sense in giving up a buffer nation between Russia and NATO?

Meanwhile the profiteers will milk it for all it is worth. That is usually the main outcome of wars and the underlying motive for extending it as long as possible..

Back in the day the peasants went about their business, the power struggles being a game of the elite and their hired armies. Besides, they were used to being looted and slaughtered by their own, let alone invaders.

Most people in the usa have continue resistance to serving the Creator, and continually deny Jesus. Is that a clear indication of everyone's view ?
Remember somewhere it is written, that those people who accepted going into slavery would live to return to Jerusalem, and those who did not would be killed. I don't remember exact specifics, but I think it was in Jeremiah.
