A mind at peace, a mind focused on not harming others, is stronger than any physical force in the universe. ~ Unknown ~
Anyone can find peace in a cave, but bringing that peace into the chaos of the world is the issue. And it is necessary to find that peace within the world in order to know the true self, in order to discover your true relationship with the world. ~ John McAfee ~
That saying :Anyone can find peace in a cave"has made quite an impression on me over the last few years.
My husband and I lived for 15 years in the country and we worked at home and just did our own thing with different buisnesses and really enjoyed been by ourselves.
Then one day my daughter in law who is a christian (mentioned about someone else)said how its easy to serve God when your up on a mountain and no one else is around. That stayed with me and bothered me for the longest time.
The Lord really impressed on my heart about selling our beautiful property we had on the river. It sold imediately when listed. Two people fought for it
And is that true:anyone can find peace in a cave".I`d say yes it sure is.The Lord has dealt with me so much the last year and some months. Its easy to Love the Lord,He`s so good to us.
But to learn to deal with the world and other christians too, isn`t always peaceful, theres many ups and downs. But I know that the Lord didn`t want me up on the mountain or in a cave,He wanted me out there reaching more people for Him,by showing His love and compassion to people.I thank You Lord for showing me I was at the wrong place, not where You wanted me.And I thank You for Your peace wherever I am at.
My favorite verse covering peace is when Jesus was on the boat and the storm was all about. The disciples were fearful for their lives. As they woke the master they shared their concern with him. Jesus shared with them to strengthen their faith and then said peace be still. The waves and wind immediatley calmed, yet you will also notice that the disciples did as well. So who or what was Jesus talking to? Both the disciples and the elements or just one or the other?
I Love it, as I believe with one voice and one statement One God spoke once and calmed both the elements and his children.
