Got a laptop or a desktop PC and an extra monitor? Wanna expand your working space? Why not use multiple desktops?
In windows XP it natively supports multiple monitors without special software.
On a laptop that has a VGA port on the back of it, connect your extra monitor. Then right click anywhere on the desktop and choose properties. Then navigate to the settings tab. On the lower portion of the window, choose to "Extend my windows deskotp onto this monitor".
Voila, the desktop now becomes extended onto the other monitor. You can also change where the desktop is extended to, simply by clicking and holding your right mouse button on the second monitor in the settings window, and moving it around to where you need it.

With your desktop PC, you will need an extra PCI video card. Install the second video card in the system. Load up the drivers and away you go.
Then connect the monitor to the second card and do the same as above to configure.

Internet Explorer with Service Pack 2 has a built-in pop-up blocker. But yes, other browsers like Firefox do tend to be better.
Hmm. I wasn't even aware that they *finally* added popup blocking to IE! I just "upgraded" to SP2 like a month ago when the last virus hit. So that means that MS is only like three years behind the curve on that one...not bad! LOL^_^^_^

Pressing F11 will expand your window by taking away the links bar, and some of the other menu bars.
This is a great way to view pictures that are larger than your screen allows.

BRILLIANT!

Heck yes! I couldn't LIVE without my dual monitors. I'm thinking of adding a third, but they're all old CRTs so space is a bit of an issue. I was considering taking off the bottom stand of the 3rd one and attaching it to the top of the other two
