Paying for tuition yourself

Have you ever had anyone give you a hard time when you're paying your tuition yourself, rather than your parents helping you?

I payed for tuition myself, like most of the people I knew and nobody gave us a hard time. In fact most people had no idea who paid our tuition. Do you mean a friend giving you a hard time about it? If so ignore it. It is actually something to be proud of. You are making sacrifices and being responsible.

No. The people I took classes with were not spoiled enough and not interested enough in my personal business to do so.

No. I funded my education. I’m doing the same with my studies in fashion and interior design. My daughter received financial assistance but I’m repaying her student loans.

Your financial affairs are no one’s concern. I would encourage discretion in the information you disclose.

I've seen it happen before where people are given a hard time for paying for school themselves, which as some have said, I find it commendable.

No. I pay most part of my loan and studies alone when my friends receive much more help from their parents, but they never say or do anything hard about it. They simply adapt themselves when we go for a drink/lunch or a picture or anything, as I ask for the cheapest. No one ever made fun of me for that!

Maybe they feel incompetent next to you.

You should be very proud of yourself. Don't give up! Your hard work will pay off.
