  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

awesome song.

look, i don't know much about paul simon, but i LOVE this song. the live version from "live rhymin" plays in the store that i work at, every once in awhile, and i always have loved it.

if i'm ever a musician, this will be one of the first songs that i cover.

anyone else love the song?

Paul Simon is a genius , all his songs are prime stuff ............ he also has one of the best voices in the history of 'Rock' ....... such a wonderfully gifted guy , his music will last for thousands of years.

it is real eye opening stuff even has swearing on it .... the story is a true one and it is a killer (no pun intended!) of an album .... it took me a couple of listens to get the genius of it ...... this is unlike his other stuff , it may even shock you!

i am shocked to fine other people here who love paul simon. oddly, 'duncan' is not one of my favorite songs of his. ive never been able to enjoy the melody very much, but i do enjoy the lyrics. he tells the most incredible storys in just 4 minutes. he somehow fits everything in; beginning, middle, end, symbolisms and conclusion(s). he is my all time favorite songwriter. he is truly an artist, which is rare to find in songwriters these days. his voice and words move my soul and my ears call him home.

i am listening to Songs from the Capeman right now. it is a good album. i couldnt really appreciate it very much at first either, but now i reallly like it. i wish that the play would have done better. i would have loved to see it. hearing paul cuss is always fun too. he has such an exellent voice that it is fun to hear it in contrast with the lyrical content.

i could go on for days about all fo this stuff. its good to find other fans.

i bought Songs From The Capeman today.

it's strange. But it's growing on me really fast. I think it's good for me... i need to branch out more. I love the 50's/latin vibe.

t'sgood.
