A guest on Sid Roth a few weeks ago stated that the original word for tent maker would more accurately be translated as prayer shawls! There are totally different words for pup tents and for the large tends that the Bedouins use?!

The Jewish prayer shawl in a sense is to act like the tabernacle/tent of the time of Moshe/Moses! Pastor William Seymour used a box over his head to help himself focus his attention on God!

I stated as much earlier in the thread but it wasn't received.

I saw that show, he has no proof at all that they were not the tents one sleeps in.

Abraham had no tallit, we are sons by faith, not by adding garments to the church.:)

Sounds like Sid is simply trying to boost his ratings with a bit of a beatup of something that he must know has no basis in fact.

Could you really imagine the Apostle Paul making prayer shawls which is a garment that belongs to a people who were actively persecuting the Church of God?

Good point, and yes, as Paul fought Judaistic forces alot, I doubt while he used non tallit wearing Abraham in his gospel, he would want to tell his Gentiles he is still making tallits. He would not want them to wear one.

That would be like making and selling statues of "saints" and others but telling people.

"It's really all about Jesus!":)

I like it!
Paul never quit being a Jew. He understood what Jesus meant to him as a Jew. Since the prayer shawl is a symbol, it is likely that he continued to wear it, just as we went to Jerusalem with men going to fulfill their vows. Whether he made them is pure speculation.

Could you ever imagine Paul praying to the Father while wearing a shawl or head covering of any description! What did Paul have to say about men not having their heads covered while praying...
