Belichick trades Randy Moss for a third rounder, trades Maroney for a 4th rounder, then trades for Deion Branch. Some in the Boston media speculated that he was giving up on the season and rebuilding yet they go 14-2. Meanwhile the Pats have two picks in each of the first three rounds of the draft this year, including Carolina's second rounder which is basically a first rounder.
