Patience

This is a lesson i learnt now from a course i'm taking . 

I think most agree. Waiting is really hard. Sometimes when we wait in God's presence, we tend to try and do something since we feel useless and unproductive.

"Isaiah 41:31 - But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

Waiting is like charging ourselves up so we can burst out in full power and potential. Just like a laser cannon. Charges up before a big bang. If its not charged up, then it's merely a little blink of light. (the laser cannon was just some silly thing i made up ).

“Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

BTW If you thought i couldn't remember any verse chapters and numbers you're right. I sorta looked them up .

I too have to look up scriptures sometimes Sharky! Let us thank the Lord that we are able to!

You're right we do pretty much charge ourselves up when waiting on the Lord! And it is so important that we wait on him. I realy like the annalogy of the laser cannon, Thanks for sharing this with us!

GOOD POST!!! God has been telling me to wait on a few things...your "laser cannon" analogy gave me a little more insight into why!

Here's my favorite Bible verse: "Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:4 . Sometimes, God just wants us to keep at it, even when a situation doesn't seem to be going anywhere!
