This post is one of my last posts in CF, and I can assure that God used CF significantly in my life to help me know my problems more and find effective solutions to them through him.
I accepted Christ in 2013, and in 2017 I found out I have OCD and ADHD alongside SAD, the fights that I always had with OCD were about worry that my prayers are not going to be heard (lack of faith), my fears would come true (lack of faith), I would fail God and hence he would abandon me. (He never did.)
So what happened recently was that God applied Romans 8:28 to my life, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God to those are the called according to his purpose.", as you can see, in that verse there are 2 conditions:
1. Love God: Through obeying the commandments, let us pretend you are in a situation where you have to "lie" to get through it, just DON'T, trust God, it all will turn out for good, you will end up smiling and admiring how he brought you out of troubles "perfectly", moreover, your brain will try to fool you into "logical" outcomes of obeying God, as failing a task or being abandoned by your loved ones, DON'T listen to your brain, your brain processes those outcomes according to its limited perspective and ONLY according to the limited evidence presented in front of it, just remember, obey the commandments, God matters more than anyone else, even if after you obey him problems happen, that's just a test of faith, when that happens, tell him "Thank you, I know you are working it all out, i'm not afraid of anything as I know you are here for me."
2. Be called according to his purpose: By accepting "all things that happen" in your life with thanksgiving, and by asking him to apply his will and ONLY his will to your life, even if you hear bad news now, act as if you heard normal news, you know that it will lead to the good anyway, just don't forget to pray about it, and you can even thank him before seeing those problems being solved as you know it will be solved for he is faithful, just never neglect praying for anything as you have to ASK for it to be given to you, remember, DON'T tell God how to solve something, don't tell him "God, I want to be hired in that place, please let me be hired in that place", instead say "God, if you find it good for me to be hired in that place, then please let me be hired in it, just apply your will because that's all I need."
Remember, it all starts with obeying God and aiming on ONLY glorifying his name in your life, later when your relationship with God becomes more powerful you will realize that he cares about the smallest details in your life, and he will NEVER bring your fears to you EVEN if you fail him, but remember, if you fail him, come back as fast as possible, don't hesitate, and again I say as fast as "possible", because he is merciful and he won't hurt you if you don't repent in time, for example, if you "lie" or "cuss" mistakenly outdoor you don't have to rush home to repent, it is enough to feel bad in your heart and to keep in mind that as soon as you are home, you will pray hard for him to forgive you.
The rest will be given to you through the Holy Spirit as his voice was so clear in my mind, just allow him to speak and always pray to God to protect you from all evil spirits and purify where you are and where you live (and your loved ones) from any force of evil at all times.
Negative thoughts will decrease if you follow this, and one day your thoughts will become as normal as anyone else, even more positive, May God bless and protect you all!
