No, thats your news sources placing AOC etc at the center. FOX and the rest of right side media loves her out of all proportion.

I actually admire AOC as far as being a young politician goes... but she simply isn't that important.
Personally I think Pelosi was just dying for a good reason to impeach Trump all along. Absent the whistleblower complaint, this would have never happened. Then how about you telling us why Pelosi wasn't originally willing to start the impeachment process, but then went along with it when she got backlash from AOC and the other extremists in her party?

Oh yeah. She was shocked and appalled that he became pres. (as was I). But that's got nothing to do with whether she thought the impeachment was actually warranted. (which it was). She didn't even take him seriously 6 months before the election:
"Right now, Donald Trump has influence, but he doesn't have power, and I don't think he ever will," Pelosi said.
Pelosi said Trump and other Republican efforts to demean the legitimacy of President Barack Obama paved the way for Trump, a former reality television star. But Pelosi said she believes voters are getting past the spectacle.
"I have great faith in the American people," Pelosi said. "I think we've had our fun. Now let's get serious."

And now she went ahead with trying to impeach him, and her efforts are about to fail. Still in office, still in charge, and even those on this forum who don't like Trump are admitting that he will most likely be elected for a second term in November.

Her followers clearly had their mind made up.
"Trump is entering office with Bush’s post Katrina numbers. If Speaker Pelosi takes up the charge, and starts the drum beat of investigations and impeachment, then republicans refuse to do anything, from the house to the doj, we use that as a tool to empower our candidates who are not only going to be running on a progressive platform, but running against corruption and having a check on power gone mad." (December 20, 2016 well before Trump's inauguration)
Dear Speaker Pelosi. Impeachment. Day 1. Nothing else will work.
The rest of the article indicates that they knew what what they were going to do all along--long before Trump did anything at all.
I dont care about a Daily Kos opinion piece. Her followers clearly had their mind made up.

I was shocked by Trump's election but I accepted his presidency for at least a year. Then I started to get tired of the fact his behavior wasn't changing and he was continuing his boorish ways, now I simply find it sickening. In the words of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Trump "lacks ethical principles".
According to articles I've posted, that seemed to be what initiated the desire for impeachment from the beginning. However, to impeach a president by the high standards set forth by our Constitution, it requires more than boorish behavior. I'm not a fan of how he reacts to criticism or the way he excessively uses Twitter. But those things don't affect what a president is elected to do. The issues a president handles are things like the economy, which is usually the main concern during any election. The current economy is red hot.

I care about whether the impeachment was actually warranted or not in my own opinion.
Unfortunately, his boorish behavior became an abuse of power when he threatened a US ally.
What US ally did he threaten? Iran?
Ukraine.
Doesn't it concern you that an opinion piece in that extreme leftist publication ended up being the playbook of the democrats ever since the article was written?
Threatened? Giving them a way of defending themselves against possible Russian aggression (something strange for an accused Russian agent to do) is threatening?
Conspiracy theory much?
Observation much more.
