Hilarious.
Also quite humorous, because you proceed to quote Numbers to 'prove' that pastors should tithe. You do realize that Numbers is a book in the penteteuch, AKA the book of Moses, AKA the Law? How can you say that it's not based on the "law of Moses" and then quote the Law of Moses to prove your subsequent point?
The Law of Moses provided clarification on a pre-existing spiritual law. By your reasoning, I hope you're not implying that "thou shalt not kill, or "commit adultery" isn't applicable either...
Remember, Jesus didn't do away with the Law, he fulfilled it and clarified it and shed light on its spiritual significance. For example, the Law of Moses declared that committing adultery (in the physical) is a sin . But Jesus declared that even thinking about committing adultery in their heart is a sin. So in essense, the spiritual laws of God brought to light under the new covenant through Jesus is even more strict than the Law of Moses. If you apply this to the spiritual law of tithing, God may require some day that you give it all to him. People voluntarily did so in the Book of Acts.
Matthew 5:[17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.[
18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Here is Paul making reference to ministers being justified in living off of the temple (church). How can this be so unless the people are still required to tithe and bring offerings?:
1Corin. 9:10- "Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.[
11] If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?[
12] If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.[
13] Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the alter are partakers with the alter?[
14] Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
