Past threads.

hey guys,

Most of you probably won't know me. I was an active member on CF a couple of years ago, before the teens section was changed to young adults.

Anyway, while I was on CF I met a man, Chris, who went by the username Eladoni. We are now engaged! I just wanted to say that I would never have met him if it wasnt for CF, and we would not have gotten to know eachother so well if not for the great Christian environment where we could talk about our faith together. He is truly a blessing in my life. We are getting married in June 2012.

I just wanted to ask the mods about really old threads, like from years ago. I have tried looking for them but they seem to be gone already. I really wanted to look back on some of our first conversations together and maybe include some of them in our reception video at the wedding. Is there any place these old threads are stored, or are they gone forever?

I guess I should rephrase. I see threads on here that go back all the way to 2003. Quite impressive! Yet none are there from the old teen section, which is why when I search old threads I have posted in, nothing comes up. So maybe the teens section threads were all deleted when the section became "young adults"? It's very disappointing Does anyone remember what happened and if the threads were saved? There must be someone who was still here when I was.. 2007ish?

Congratulations on your engagement I don't think I've seen you before, but I joined after you are talking about. I think you'll probably have to talk to a mod or admin about this. I don't know whether the threads are still somewhere, but if they are they've beeen archived. There was a big bust up in the teens section a year or two ago, and I think all threads were archived. Sorry I can't help more!

I would try advanced search or talking to a mod. Congrats on your engagement! I met my husband on CF, too.

That's pretty awesome. My wife and I met here too and we are coming up on our 3 year anniversary in a couple of months. Congrats and best wishes!

I think I remember what you are talking about, it was the same time as I left. I think the teens created a new site so everyone I knew from here are actually probably over there... Would be a shame to have all those threads deleted though. Oh well. Thanks for your help.

Wow, I had no idea other people have been married from meeting on CF. Everyone who asks me how I met Chris think meeting on a forum is the strangest thing in the world. No way could I have ever gotten to know him as well as I do otherwise though!

Yeah, there are actually quite a few couples who met here and got married. Some very recently and some a long time ago.

The username Eladoni is somewhat familiar to my vague memory. I too was a frequent user of CF teen forums not that long ago... those were the days!

Yeah, all the old stuff is long gone (it's been hard wiped, if memory serves), and the "old crowd" has now scattered throughout the regions of the internet. But things seemed to work out well for you, so that's good. Best wishes to you and Chris.

Contact a mod or admin. They will know what happened to those threads, or at least know who to ask about them I would think.
