• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No one can pass on your faith to your children but you. However the foundations must first be laid by you, then built on by others. Don't just teach your children your doctrine....Expose them to your faith. Tell them who brought you through the bad times as well as the good, so when they go through them themself they'll have more than rules..,they'll have confidance in God for themselves.
Relize that your children are our tomorrow. They're being shaped in your palm. Let god help you to help them today.

(PROVERB 22;6..GOOD NEWS BIBLE)....Teach children how they should live and they will remember it all of their lives.

Amen, and thanks Paul! And here are a couple more of my favorite scriptures:
2 Timothy 3:14-15 (KJV) 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
You've made a good point: that we need to KNOW the one we've learned from, so we teach and live by virtue and power from Him.

Ephesians 6:4 (KJV) And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
