  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Pass Along

This was just emailed to me by a friend...Good food for thought:

Did you know that you are here for a mission from
God? Better yet, God is on a mission, are you are
invited to join Him. Additionally, the mission
you are invited to join is not bound by your
vocation or location. Contrary to popular belief,
your ability is not the determining factor as to
whether you will be effective on this mission.
The keys to being successful are your
availability and obedience. Have you noticed that
many people plan their life and then say, "God
help me accomplish what I have planned?" When in
actuality it should be God saying, "Here is what
I have planned for you and I will help you
accomplish it." So in essence, God initiates the
contact. Then He calls you to action. Finally, He
empowers you to accomplish the mission at hand.
Are you on mission with God or are you demanding
God to assist you in accomplishing the mission
you have set for yourself? As we progress into
the New Year, I encourage you to join God on His
mission. I promise the reward will be eternal!
