If you go to Paris, along with Versailles, be sure to check this place out as both the grounds and the interior are actually more beautiful and majestic than Versailles is (I believe it was one of the principle locations used in The Man in the Iron Mask, just FYI). Notre Dame Cathedral is a must see too. Basically, if you like classic architecture & art, and French cuisine, Paris is probably a better choice for you :)

I would love Paris, but Im flying solo which I love. Its just that Im a bit hesitant to go solo to the city of love so to speak.
Berlin would make me feel less like an loner...

There are trains running daily between Paris and Berlin, but it's more than an 8 hour trip. However, that train ride would take you through some of the most beautiful country on this planet, so if you travel during the day, it would probably be an amazing experience for you .. and you'd get to see both cities :)

I guess my own point of view is biaised... So perhaps you should not totally trust me on this ;) I went to Berlin and to be honest, when I felt a really enjoyable atmosphere and spent a really nice time, I did not find the city as beautiful as I expected . I know Berlin suffered from the destructions and bombings, and that it still has a lot to offer, but if I had to go somewhere on Germany I would no go there again.

For Paris, as I live there I would say that there are hundred of Paris. When I let my feet go and walk without any direction,I always discover some secrets and beautiful places, some secret gardens or discreet houses. This is like I constantly rediscover what I see everyday. And for that, Paris is amazing - if you take the time, trust your feet, be ready to learn a lot and open your eyes rather than spending hours waiting in order to climb the Eiffel Tower. You need a whole life to pretend to know Paris in fact, because it has a multitude of faces, because each place is both a Roman, medieval, modern, contemporary place, because so many things happened in just a single street along so many centuries!
And remind it: historically, Paris is not the "city of love" (what is that supposed to be?! It does not mean anything) but the heart of medieval theology!

Yes thankfully there was a time before Macron and other atheist fools in charge in France.
Your love towards your city is beautiful btw :)
