  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Don't mean to BUG...but I just saw thi verse in Sojourner1's signature and thought it might be helpful

"Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing." --1 Peter 3:8,9

I'll keep praying for you guys, GP.

I don't have enough to support myself at the moment because I am always "supporting" my family for things that aren't even of financial stability... I've helped out willingly and gladly in terms of things that are of essential need, but as of recent, I've given for other things and was told it'd be returned at a present time... More has come forth as well and it is just poor Christian example and I'm tired of it. Also, it is as if I can not be an example to them because they say, "I am the son and not the parent"... Wow... Anyway, you're not a bother, Chris...

God Bless.

As a Christian, I think the commandment to lend expecting nothing back, and if asked for your jacket to give your shirt as well addresses things more than anything else.

This doesn't excuse poor behavior, but it does redirect the focus off of the offending other and onto you, and how you can respond in an appropriate and Christ-like manner.

As Christians we shouldn't seek re-compensation for grievances against us, but rather love, give, extend charity above measure; forgive all grievances and seek reconciliation.

If St. Joseph had stolen money from Jesus, how would our Lord have responded and worked things out?
