while honor and obedience are two different things , if you remain at home under your parents roof, and are in some way provided for by them, then you are to obey as well. The idea of them discussing this with him is a good one, for they will ask pointed questions , thinking of your welfare that he should have no problem adressing , if it is on the up and up.

I noticed you seemed interested in the possibility of working at the Salvation Army. That's a wonderful idea for you to consider. Not only do they have great programs here in the U.S., but also if God is still leading you after you have matured more in experience they are a world wide organization. Volunteering is always a good choice of course, but they also hire and pay alot of people to do alot of different jobs, for instance, I myself worked for 2 years as a preschool teacher at one of their many schools throughout the country! What a rewarding experience it was! And talk about learing alot about the work of the Lord! The website address is simply www.salvationarmy.org:thumbsup:
Please keep an open mind and really take to heart what some wise people have already writen on this site. Someone mentioned remembering to put those that you will be ministering first...and making sure you are fully prepaired to give them all they deserve, which means being the most fully prepaired you can be...college to be a dietition for example so you know how best to serve them. Great advice!:amen: God bless you in the ministries he will give you to serve in throughout your life!
