Meh. What difference does it make, it isn't like parents can intervene anyway even if they do know about it.

Nonsense, it is a fundamental right of the parent to know what is happening with their child, for the government to usurp this fundamental right of the parent is damning indeed.

In addition, if the parent is a good parent they could show support to their daughter and hopefully sway her to give birth to the child.

Ya know, I've sort of had it with you.

Supposedly you're like this conservative guy who wants conservative values spread across American like topsy.

Oh, how wonderful it would be.

Except you want the goverment to do it all for you. That's not conservative. More to the point it requires that you tie your wagon to a political party some of whom's beliefs you have to trouble by.

The Rep's have been in power 16 or so of the past 25 years. This last 6 they've have control of all 3 branches of goverment.

How much have the acheived to end abortion ? Really.
They don't want to end abortion. Its the issue the gets YOU to vote for them. They want it legal.

Be a conservative, stop expecting the goverment to do our job and get to work. You want to end abortion, you do it one women at a time.

You'll need money, people, time and leadship. You wanna lead, money can be arranged, people will grow out of the sidewalk if you have a good plan. Time, we all got. Its what we do with it that matters.

Don't tell about brithright or anything like that, they don't have a high success rate, therefore they are not doing the well.

We need a different apporach. And you're just the guy to come up with one.

Be bold, pro, and mighty unseen forces will come to your aid.

And stop whining, it does not become you.

:D Geez, thanks Charlie.

Supposedly you're like this conservative guy who wants conservative values spread across American like topsy.

I'm mainly only conservative on the issues of family and life. I'm liberal/moderate on many other issues, actually. I am pro-environment, pro-universal healthcare, anti-Iraqi war, anti-death penalty, I am also for low taxes and low spending.

Oh, how wonderful it would be.
I'm not delusional, I know that this is not heaven, but yes it would be better.

Except you want the goverment to do it all for you. That's not conservative. More to the point it requires that you tie your wagon to a political party some of whom's beliefs you have to trouble by.

I don't want the government to do it all for me, I know that hearts and minds have to be won and that is up to me and fellow Catholics. At the same time, I do believe what the Church says in that the government needs to the fundamental dignity of life without which all other policies are pointless.

The Rep's have been in power 16 or so of the past 25 years. This last 6 they've have control of all 3 branches of goverment.

That is true.

How much have the acheived to end abortion ? Really.

Not much, but more was done than would have been done under the Democrats.

Be a conservative, stop expecting the goverment to do our job and get to work. You want to end abortion, you do it one women at a time.

I agree, it is going to take alot of work to convert the country. It would be nice, if in the meantime laws were in place to preserve as many lives as possible.

You'll need money, people, time and leadship. You wanna lead, money can be arranged, people will grow out of the sidewalk if you have a good plan. Time, we all got. Its what we do with it that matters.

Well, geez, Charlie thanks for the vote of confidence, I'll get to work I don't see God using me in any big way but if He does then He better provide a lot of grace as I'm quite incompetent. My friend and I are trying to bring Catholic radio to Phoenix and I am discerning the diaconate in which I will be very active in the pro-life movement, but we'll see.

And stop whining, it does not become you.

:D Okay Charlie, I'll stop whining just for you.

By the way, I'm not whining that the Republicans lost, as I do think they needed to lose, I'm just sad that the alternative is the Democrats who in my book are worse and the fact that so many prolife initiatives failed.

I agree - I live in LA and its sickening to know I live in a city where my child has to notify me if she takes an aspirin but is she gets a major medical procedure, oh that needs to be kept secret from those dangerous parents.

It sucks, I agree.
