  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So maybe I am just paranoid (I've been accused of such!!!)...I started getting the Braxton Hicks contractions about a week ago so when I went to the doctor Thursday, she had them do an internal sonogram to make sure that my cervix hadn't thinned any. The lady that did my sono (which was HORRIBLE!!!) said that my cervix was still really thick, about four inches...is that too thick for my being 25 weeks?

Yesterday, when we woke up, I was getting those contractions again and then when I got out of bed, I had an awful shooting pain down my left leg. It didn't go away until I woke up this morning. I am not talking an oh no its another pregnancy perk pain...I am talking intense pain shooting down my leg every time I moved. I spent the afternoon in tears. I called my MIL and she said that maybe he was sitting on a nerve (it was my lower left back) but he spent the majority of his day in my right rib lol...so just curiousity really...have any of you experienced this? Is it something I should be worried about?

It sounds like sciatica to me too, the baby probably is sitting right on your nerve. I've had that fun pain myself and it does hurt. My baby spends a good majority of his time under my right ribs as well, great feeling isn't it? lol I'm sorry you're in pain though it's no fun :(. Try getting a heating pad and putting it there, it helps SO MUCH and you can take regular strength Tylenol also which helps a little. Also get your hubby to give you a good massage, that helps a lot and makes him feel included too!

I stay dehydrated, seems I can't drink enough water to save my life. It gets frustrating to me though, because I have developed a sporatic bladder since I have been pregnant and when I drink a lot, it goes crazy. I was out in the 100 degree heat all day on Saturday, so that may have contributed. I know for a fact that I was passed out then. It just concerned me because it wasn't cramps; it was out and out pain. Thank you all! That makes me feel better!

Singin4him, you are right! I am gonna have DH massage me, I tried to just not tell him but he caught on when I was bawling my eyes out, then he was upset cause I didn't tell him. I just feel like such a hypochondriac since I have been pregnant!!!

Linnis, warm baths help...I just got out! How are things for you? Getting ready for Ethan?

Rose, thanks, I just wasn't sure. She just seemed somewhat perplexed because I guess it was so thick and I was having contractions. That makes me feel better! Thank you !
