Yep, long before scientists concocted the idea, the bible mentions parallel universes. One we call heaven, the other we call hell.

Actually the scientific understanding of parallel universes or multiverses says that there can be many millions of universes. Part of why they state that there are many universes is to address the fine tuning argument of our universe. If there are many universes then it makes our just right universe just one of many. So it takes the significance of our universe being so finely tuned for life. Something that scientists find hard to deal with. We just happen to be in the one that is just right. All the other ones are variations of this and the range will cover every possible scenario. There could be ones close to ours where there's another you and me in them living a different life. There could be ones where it is hostile and there is no life at all.

I would say heaven and Hell would be other dimensions. Whether that be a literal dimension of one where our consciousness lives on and creates that realm. Quantum physics indicates that our minds are what may create our reality and that the material world is just a superficial representation of another dimension. This accounts for people who experience something beyond this world like NDE. Scientific tests have verified that our minds can create our reality. This stems from the observer effect in quantum physics wave function tests. So this could be how Jesus could materialize between dimensions. This could be how Jesus said That Heaven is with you and can begin here on earth.

No no it does not >_> the only thing the bible talks about is ethereal planes that no one really knows if they exist or not because no one has been to said heaven or hell. >_> and even if said place existed it would break the laws of energy conservation if said human "soul" goes on from this "plane" to the next.

As I've stated to everyone else with a similar claim, the bible does say our physical bodies will be taken up. So obviously, it's much more than you describe.

Know one really knows what it will be like and what state we will be in. I have heard other descriptions of heaven and it doesn't sound like a material world. So I dont think it will just be another version of what we have now in this world. Though Jesus came back in a physical body and Thomas was able to touch His wounds He could still do some non physical stuff like walk through walls or appear and disappear. So there must be some sort of break down of the material world there.

Parallel universes as science understands them are still in this dimension as far as the physics are concerned. They are just different make ups of physics. Whereas our physical constants are just right for life other universes or worlds may have physical constants that are hostile to life or close to ours and have similar but slightly different existences. Of course this is all speculation in science yet some are willing to believe this and not in God and the afterlife.

No one talks about it much. The first resurrection took place after Jesus finished His work at Calvery.
