Does anyone here play games from Paradox? I found the games made by them, Europa Universalis 4, Crusader Kings 2, etc really great historical simulation (including religion, diplomacy, culture etc), unlike most of the more war-based strategy titles out there.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I played Europa Universalis III and IV. Great games. Can be hard to play with smaller nations but what's a game without a challenge, right?

I have almost exclusively played Europa Universalis III since 2009, although I bought an older version of the game around 2007. At first it was the original box version, then I bought EUIII: Complete from Steam in 2009, and then EUIII: Chronicles (the most up to date version now) earlier this year from the Mac App Store. I also played Europa Universalis II, which was pretty good, but more obviously dated, with a clunky interface and controls. I like the music from EUII more than the third one, though. I have never played EUIV yet, and I plan to get it when it is cheaper, and with expansion packs, a year or two from now.

They make a lot of "meh" worthy games though not nearly as bad as Excalibur Publishing.
