  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite games. I hope that when the Nintendo Revolution comes out, they make another Paper Mario game. I mean, it's a brilliant idea. And the story lasts a really long time. And after you beat the story in Paper Mario 2, you get to keep playing. I mean, how awesome is that!

I'm looking forward to it.

My hubby really wants to get Paper Mario for the cube, but he wants the price to drop a little first.

I don't like it cuz it has that boob lady in it. My kids imitate stuff a lot, and she does not look quite like the role model I was hoping for (looks-wise).

LOL One of my friend here on campus has the cube game (thousand year door). We found it hilarious that there are a few innuendos thrown into a MARIO game. The two things we made fun of the most was the description of the "boob lady" which says that her large "stage presense" can help in battles or something like that. The other one we call the "shower scene" or the "naked peach scene" etc because it shows peach walk behind a shower curtain, you see her dress hang over the edge, you see water and steam, it stops, the dress gets pulled down, and she walks out from behind the curtain wearing it. There's one other scene similar to that, but I won't mention it for plot reasons, but if you play, you'll know it when you see it. But from what I've heard, it's a very good game, though a couple of the parts make me think that parents should think before giving it to younger kids.

Don't get me wrong, most of the game is perfectly fine, but there are a couple points that seem to be subtle jokes for older players. I would suggest picking it up and playing through it, then seeing what you think.

Yeah, I think the first paper mario was a little more decent than "Thousand year door", but it's still a fun game. Another thing about the game, though, is that there is alot of magic involved, and some people might be put off by that.

Occultic? Like as in a religion? Well, I don't really think so. However, there are witches, but not like satan worshipers. I mean, they fly on broomsticks, wear pointed hats, and carry around wands. Then there is, at the end of the game, this big room all kinds of candles in it, and it does look kind of occult.
