I spelled Obama's name correctly.

My point, Aisy, is that Obama's net worth is calculated at over $5 million. So the question stands.
The majority of which he already had before becoming President. The president only makes $400,000 per year in salary. His benefits are the real perk of the job, not the money.

Sarah Palin has clout with republicans because she can draw crowds and raise a lot of money. Add to that the fact that her endorsement can often move you to the front of the political line and you have someone with clout. What she lacks is credibility in regard to her own political aspirations. If she took herself off the list of potential presidential contenders, that credibility would grow. She has found her niche, and if she is smart, she will stay doing exactly what she is doing.

We have a winner!

And if the Republican party can convince her to play that part in the right races both she and they will benefit. If she starts to think to highly of herself outside of the box yuo have describes she will hurt both.

And the only ones who will be truly hurt are the Tea Partiers she'll be selling out.

All of it.
Except statistics prove that the more religious one is, the less educated/intelligent. The conservative evangelical christians dominate the Republican party, especially the Tea Party. Therefore, they draw in the poorly educated, older generations who believe the Earth is 6,000 years old and dinosaurs walked with man. Their lack of education and/or intelligence leads them to vote for like-minded candidates without caring about their lack of credentials - so long as they support their beliefs.

That's a load of crap. The least educated guy in my church has a master's degree, others have multiple master's degrees, we have at least one PhD.

Therefore, they draw in the poorly educated, older generations who believe the Earth is 6,000 years old and dinosaurs walked with man. You see, I have always thought that liberals were dumber than boxes of rocks for believing crap like that.

So Jase you list yourself as a Messianic do this mean you are unintelligent?

No, because I'm not extremely religious and have no involvement with organized religion.

And I didn't say religious people can't be intelligent, I merely said those less educated/intelligent tend to more drawn to religion, especially the dogmatic side, than their counterparts. Academics tend to be more skeptical and less dogmatic, and in turn have slightly higher IQs. Studies analyzing the average IQ of 137 nations have indicated that those with the largest percentage of atheists/agnostics, also score the highest IQs. For individuals, the rank of who averages the higher IQ would be atheist > agnostic > liberal believer > dogmatic believer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religiosity_and_intelligence#Studies_comparing_religious_belief_and_I.Q.

I'm not saying this is in anyway conclusive - merely that a correlation can be drawn. Heck, for less scientific testing, one could simply look at those who post on a predominately atheist board vs. those who post on Rapture Ready. It's quite obvious which group is more educated and intelligent.

Right, and the base of the democratic party--the inner city ghettos--light the world with their brilliance. Atheists may have reached the correct conclusion to a particular question, but that alone hardly qualifies them to lay claim to the title of the educated/intelligent ones. The fact that most atheists then align themselves with the political left, is all the proof you need to show that they really arent all that bright after all. In essence, your typical atheist got the first question on the exam correct, but then got every other answer wrong. That gets you an F.

Right that's not 1 billion a day sport.

And yet we still have regulating bodies.... Gosh if we got rid of all that regulation wonder what they are doing there?

Oh yeah that's right... there's still regulating of the banks going on.
I agree that I did not say "The Iraq and Afghanistan wars cost 1 billion a day". Does it make a difference? I think you are old enough to see the cost to the taxpayer!

For someone who claims to be an atheist you sure do your best to give atheists a bad name. Why don't you stop hiding behind your finger and put a cross sign instead of a head with a brain:angel:

Perhaps the reason they (atheists) tend to vote liberal might have more to do with the conservatives attitude towards them? seen this?

I don't know about you? But when I hear people like Sarah Palin say things like this:

Atheist only think they have the universe and everything in it all figured out. They don't, really.

As opposed to thinking that all the answers to everything that is, was, or ever will be is in the pages of a book?

OK, in the spirit of consistency, I will admit that post number 57 was out of line. However, there is more to Christianity and acceptance in the existence of a higher power than what is written in the one book you reference.
Not according to your average fundie.
