Apparently the Palestinians are "demanding" a deadline for Israel to recognize them as a state. (Link) I had a good hard laugh about this. Shouldn't they finish their civil war before they run around demanding to be recognized? Which "State" should Israel recognize? The Fatah lead Ramallah government in the West bank, or the geographically separate Hamas lead government in Gaza City? Prime minister Haniyah, or Prime Minister Fayyad?

The Hamas government is far more amusing because now within Gaza they are amidst yet another civil war between Hamas and Islamic Jihad. (Link) A two front, double entity civil war... I didn't think such things were possible!

I'd love to see the Israelis approach Abbas and say "Sure, we'll recognize you as a state, based on the condition that you immediately join us in attacking Gaza, destroying the Hamas government and readmitting Gaza into Israeli territory." I wonder how that would play.

You know, Israelis are kinda split themselves on viewpoints.

Last I checked they haven't set up separate governments in geographically isolated areas and declared war on each other. The Palestinians are having a hell of a difference of opinion.

Those Jooz, I'll tell you what - when they aren't controlling the world through international banking and an intelligence network of kosher delis that rivals the CIA, they're just getting all up in the Palestinians stuff.
