Painting

I have been painting for nearly 20 years now and love it. It brings relaxation for me but I have to be in the mood to do it and sometimes I get painter's block.
I wish I could post a painting on here but apparently I have not reached 100 posts yet.. got a ways to go..

I am a total newbie here so it will be awhile before I could post any art. I do pencil portraits... don't have the time yet to learn oil painting since I work a full time job and when I'm home I'm always working on a commission. I was looking for a Christian forum where I could find other artists... cuz its a VERY liberal world out there in the art business and on other art sites!!

Hi Cindy, Yes I do have a website. I think I have to have more posts on here before I can post a website... can't remember so I'll play it safe. If you google Laura J. Smith my website will be right at the top of the list.

Very nice website! I like your portraits. One of the problems I usually see with charcoal or graphite portraits are the darkest tones are just not dark enough and it really makes the piece look flat... there is not enough depth. So I really enjoy seeing the nice dark tones in your work. Wonderful!!

Thanks Laura, that is really nice to hear. I hope to one day venture out into using other types of media... but for now, I enjoy what I am doing. Thanks again!

hey can someone tell me how to make your own website. I want to post my art work but im not sure how.
