Never actually played, but interested.

Some friends of mine live out in the country, and have about 6-10 acres of land, most of which is tall-ish grass. There is a lone pair of trees growing close together near one end, and they built an awesome fort, complete with gate, sniper's post, and bunkers (yes, they dug out bunkers and put covers on them).

Needless to say, they use it as a paintball field.

I went paintballing twice -- 5 years ago and 2 weeks ago. No one expected me to go because I'm normally very feminine and all. But I thoroughly enjoyed it! At first I wasn't sure what was going on but then I got a hang of it and felt the adrenaline pumping! I still have got a long way to go but I'd definitely do it again! :)

Some of my friends were shocked when I told them that showing off your 'battle scars' after the game is part of the fun :p *boasts* I still have a big bruise on my thigh from the last game. *nods*

I'll probably go again next year in Moscow. :)

God bless you!

Paintball is one of my biggest Hobbies. I have a group of friends who play about every other week for the last 2+ years.

We just got back from Oklahoma D-Day, which had 4000+ players this year. It was our second year. We were on the German side in the 6th Fallschirmjager (paratrooper) regiment. We were tasked with slowing down the allied airborne (who are "dropped in" at the back of the field 30 minutes before the rest of the allies even show up).

300 of them versus about 40-50 of us. We slaughtered them, but were eventually overrun (they got to reinsert 30 minutes after being taken out, we had to reinsert on another part of the field).

The rest of the day went poorly for our side. Our tanks were outmatched, we lost the beach fights. Yah, we rocked, but it was awesome.

Paintball = fun.
