What can I say? College is going badly. I'm stressed out. I'm starving spiritually. I'm feeling alone. Life is pain. Pray for me.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I know that sometimes when we are stressed it can seem that God is very far away from us. But the truth is, He is with us all the time. HJ, He is there with you. His word tells us that He will never leave us or forsake us. He wants you to be close to Him again. He wants to take your pain away, but first you have to give it to Him. He can't begin healing you until you give it all to Him: your pain, your struggles, your hurt, your frustration. Once you are able to do that, you will feel that a huge burden has been lifted from you. Everything may not be solved and there still may be stuggles, but they will be in God's hands.
Is there anybody on your campus or in your life that you feel like you could talk with about this? A pastor, a trusted friend, a family member? Someone that could counsel you?
Dear Lord, I lift up humblejoe to you tonight. He is in pain and needs to feel Your healing hand in his life. Please draw him close to you so that He can feel Your presence. Quench the spiritual hunger that he is feeling right now, Lord. Fill it with your grace and mercy and love. I pray that you will open his eyes and his heart to your guidance. Draw near to him and give him strength. In your precious name, Amen.

Any test God gives is designed to draw you closer to Him, so make sure you turn to Him. Things generally work out better that way. Have a great day!

Sounds like you got quite a bit on the plate right now. Do you have the program Camp Crusaders for Christ? If you do then I highly suggest you go there. These are young people like you who will lift you up spiritually and could wind up being some really good friends to you. Your lonliness is probally a combination of things. Being away from home, strange place, lotsa headaches, I am sure. Ask yourself what can you do about such feelings. If right now you can not go back to home then make the best of your new home for now. Get out and meet new people. Find a christian fellowship group or a church to attend. I would assume most colleges would have these. Our life is a lot of what we make of it. Do you believe that God sees your struggles and can provide you with what you need? He knows you need a break. Ask Him to lead you in your journey and will give you new people to spend time with. If you are faithful, He is faithful. If you find some good christian friends on the campus, I sure hope there are, then your physical feelings such as lonliness and depression will take a back seat. I believe when you resolve some of these feelings then you will be able to grow spiritually. Work on your life with Him and He will do the rest.

Father God I pray for humblejoe, surround and protect him with Your angels, fill him to over flowing with Your joy, let him be continually in Your will, grant him the knowledge and wisdom he needs to carry on and let him walk in favor with You and amongst men. You know all Father and I am convinced nothing escapes Your eyes, please help him through everyday life. Amen

i know exacly how you feel i am always lonely to i have asked god for god friends for like 2 or 3 years i still don't have an yet. but hey we got God he is so the best friend in the whole world. i know it is not quite the same, it is hard not having friends i will put you on my prayer list keep talking to God i know he is listening i know that half the time it doesn't feel like it you just got to belive that he is and keep asking him you will get there in the end hang in there bro. good luck i will be praying
