Paging Kristian -- Do You Have Any More Music Recommendations

Ever since I heard Pete Murray, I've been bugged by what other great music exists out there that the US music industry doesn't seem to want to promote in the US. Got any suggestions for artists I should look for in the import section the next time I'm at the music store?

There's a space available in the French speaker's forum, sis...but I don't know what the equivalent word in French is for paging

Try Powderfinger, The Living End, Alex Lloyd, The Dissociatives and John Butler Trio for starters - I'm sure the other Aussies will help fill in the gaps!

Victory at last . Finally an American whose heard of Robbie Williams. But trust me, if you liked "Feel", then you should also like two of his other songs, "Better Man", and "Road to Mandalay". Beautiful songs. He also is the one who wrote and originally made a hit in the late 90's singing "Angles" which Jessica Simpson copied. Now her i can't stand

By the way, there's a new Australian act whose just recent. Missy Higgins. Good ballad writer.

You should check out the German artist Herbert Grönemeyer. Rather similar styles. He's legendary in Germany/Austria.

Try "Flugzeuge im Bauch" (Airplanes in the [my] Stomach), "Keine Heimat" (no idea, sorry), and "Der Weg" (the way). The first and the last are amazing ballads.
