"P4M" is my new convenient acronym for "Pray For "M"".
Under "Prayer Requests" I keep posting prayers about a boy close to my heart and his younger brother and some tough things they are going through. (So sometimes I may put "P4R" to represent the brother)

So I posted awhile back that my prayer for "M" was that since he'd gotten a little better from the PTSD and gotten intrigued by my church life, he'd get a foot in the door and eventually find his way back to God and back to faith after a nasty falling out last year between us (before I found God agian) was a major part of his decision to renounce his faith. The prayer for "R" was that he would make healthy, adult choices and also find God, while he is living up north with a pregnant fiancee and a world of financial problems.

The only major development with "R" has been that he's gotten a little more optimistic about making his situation work. That's all I can and will know because I'm not 2000 mi NW with him to see what he's been doing.

Right in front of me is "M" and "M" and I patched things up last summer after being at odds for a long time. Last fall, M decided to cautiously set foot in a church and cautiously open up his heart to God. Then later on, he started to get more confident and curious and asked why I never invite him to MY church. I didn't think he liked it. Before Christmas, he came to visit with me. It went well. He came back. He's been going back pretty regularly. Then he wanted to try my bible study group on Wednesday's. Once again, I didn't think he'd like it. But last week he came with, and he did. He always says "day by day" or "if I feel like it" which used to mean "never!", but he's been pretty consistent and knowing him, as long as he doesn't feel obligated or pressured, he will do it.
So yesterday he started back up on a few classes and he loves his martial arts too. He was talking about being busy nearly every night during the week. Surprise, surprise... he called me and said that he's decided to drop one of the martial arts classes so he can go to the Wed. bible study!
That's HUGE.

Also, his parents liked what they were seeing and wanted to return to their local Baptist church, so we all went (Them, him, me) on saturday night. Hope they go back again soon!
