  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I woke up this morning in severe pain, stabbing kind all over my belly, mostly on top and the sides, plus my back. It isn't a contraction cause A, it never leaves, and B. I had a BH or two since waking up, it actually made the pain better. But I am at a loss as to why it hurts so much or how to make it stop.

Any suggestions? Please

i've never been pregnant before this one, so don't go by me -- i don't know what's normal and what's not. but it seems like this close to the end of your pregnancy (you've just got a few weeks left, right?) that if you're having any kind of sharp pains that you should at least call your doctor and tell him/her what's going on. the worst that could happen is they could ask you to come in and see what's going on. but, that's just what i would do. :)

I can't I don't drive and DH is at work :(.

But great news the pain has subsided to just in my back so long as I am just laying down, which Thankfully my DS has been super well behaved and patient and helpful so I pretty much can.

Thankyou for your support. and encouragement. If it gets worse I will call anyway, but I really need DH to make money today not ferry me to a Dr.

Well since I don't have a baby in my arms yet it wasn't (isn't) labor! :)

Which is good, as much as I want to be done, I still have a few things to take care of, like a trip to the Renfest and christmas shopping.

I dunno what it was, but it is much diminished, and I took it VERY easy yesterday, and will continue that at least somewhat today. I have an apointment next Thursday anyway (next availible time for DH to drive me) so I will mention it then.

It might have just been round ligament pain (those are the ligaments thatgo from your sides to your uterus). Rest is great- as well as increasing vitamins B-6 and B-12. If the pain comes back I would heartily recommend looking in to a Prenatal cradle- or some other pregnancy support belt.

Ligament pain does sound like a good possibility. If it's sharper than ligament pain, it could be a nerve being pinched by the weight of the baby. Changing position over a period of time might ease it, if that's the case.

Thanks for the idea, I was thinking it might be the nerve thing, cause now that the belly pain is gone the pain in my leg is back (like the sciatic nerve down your back, only it is in my inner left thgh) It was gone for all of Monday and most of Tuesday, so I guess kid was shifting to a MUCH worse spot. but now he is back on the origional nerve, and that one I can live with. Plus inner thigh doesn't worry me as much as belly pain.

Yeah, squirming is good :)

Yes it is very good, my little one did not move as she should have, let's just say she was a very laid back baby in the womb. And she is still laid back outside of the womb as well.

I have two bundles of energy already, so I wouldn't mind a laid back kid! but I doubt it. DD is a bit... conservative when using her energy, she will find a way to sit to do any still thing (like coloring) but will use plenty when needed to climb on the stuff her big bro climbs (and at almost a foot taller it takes quite a bit of energy!)

DS on the other hand NEVER sits, I never worried about him moving in the womb, he was in motion CONSTANTLY, except at night, which was awesome, he actually slept thru the night early :).

Athough this doesn't have too much to do with the post, I thought I'd share it anyways because it brings new meaning to the word "OW".

A woman in our city has delivered a baby that she has been carrying outside her uterus. It was an extremely painful pregnancy, she says, and despite ultrasounds, nobody knew that the baby was being formed outside her uterus. She and the baby are now famous throughout the world (to medical professionals) and mother and baby are doing great. I think the odds were something like 1 in 10 million, or something like that.

Wow I didn't know a baby could be formed outside the uterus!

The apointment was fine, everything is growing normal and stuff, they still hold the kid will be here around the 12th, which wouldn't bother me any! but I still doubt it.

they yelled at me for going two weeks though and made me make the next two apointments right then. (which is ok, I had the Thursdays off and all off till the baby is here for the apointments)
