I know...i don't think thats what they mean though.
Been there ..tried that ...It doesnt work
They also found them completely malnourished.
word of faith i think.I know...
Just it bites.
I went through the fat and skinny thing
and a person needs to learn to love themselves.
We all sin right...
Dont worry about your weight...worry instead about your health.
If your not a size 2 but instead a size 12 but are active so what?
who cares?
We all indulge every once in awhile. We're Human.
God knows that
Oh btw...can someone tell me what WOF is?
Next time you're at a pot luck, observe the overweight people, their plates are rounded over with food.
not nescesarily what bout the people who have brain problems diabetes, etc. ITs not their fault they are overweight. But when we consume MORE than we need for nourishment, then the excess turns into fat.
So again, it's portions that are critical.

I see your point and agree to it, but I am gonna be honest. Don't we have way bigger things to worry about?Yes, there are exceptions to this subject of overweight, and I do not lump everyone together, but the great majority of people who are overweight eat more than their body burns, and their stomach gets bigger and bigger, and their appetite grows to fill the stomach every time they eat, and it's just a viscious circle.
That's why God calls gluttony a sin, carrying around extra weight is a strain on the human body, and it's not God's will for us.
I said earlier that there were no fat people liberated from the Nazi death camps, and someone said that starvation brings on malnourshment.
Sure that's true, but cutting down on the serving size in a meal is not the same as starvation, eventhough it might seem like it at first.
Even children in today's society are overweight, it's an epidemic.
People now days want a special diet that lets them eat all they want and still lose weight.... ain't gonna happen.

Well, I'm glad someone resurrected this thread...
I remember growing up, I could put away some food...
to be gluttenous for sure... but didn't gain all that much weight...
Until I got married, then that all changed.
From what I understand about certain types of food, the more we eat - the more we crave... and these are obviously the foods that are not good for our bodies (think processed and refined as well as all the white starchy stuff)...
I had the pleasure of driving my wife to her doctor's appointment this morning (or yesterday morning now). The medication she is on causes weight gain, so it's really been a struggle for her...
The nurse practitioner saw her this morning at the appointment and suggested Whey Protein Powder to supplement. Keeps muscle from breaking down while eating the right kinds of food and helps to keep you "filled" along the day. 1/2 cup of whey protein in 8oz glass of lowfat milk provides 50% of your daily recommended protein intake.
Over the past couple of weeks, we've spent $150.00 on natural supplements and "nutriceuticals" to help us get on the right road... we both need to lose some weight here.
I love organic and natural foods... but I hate the high cost... I believe the natural food industry may be as much to blame for the inaccessibility to eat heart smart and healthy.
Saw a "loaf" of gluten-free wheat-free bread today while getting the whey protein powder at the natural health store... $5.50 (US) for nearly a third the size loaf as the wheat bread you find down at the local grocery store. We could spend $15.00/week just on bread like this alone to pack the kid's school lunches and have "bread" on the table at meal times.
So, we're trying to do it in increments. (Trying to figure the right "flour" to use to make bread in a bread machine at home would seem to be a better altrenative). I currently pay $6.22 for a gallon of organic milk (no antibiotics or steroids - no animal by-products fed to the cattle). I understand now that cow's milk may also be a natural allergan to humans in consumption. Gee... what's a guy to do?
I don't know where you live, but a place called Trader Joes sells all organic food, they are kind of expensive, but you won't get cheated into buying hydrogenated oils : )You might try getting a steamer and start steaming veggies', chicken and fish. ...also go to a fat free, or virtually fat free whole grain/multigrain, breads. The omega 3 diet is popular.
...also, Kroger makes a very good low calorie (low sugar) orange juice.
...I have found the eating an apple when hungry helps to suppress appetite and has man other health benefits as well.
Sugar seems the primary culprit followed by fatty foods.
