  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I need some help on this from other believers. My husband gets hurt so easily over nothing. My Father has a sense of humor that is easily misunderstood at times, I think he's funny but my husband just does not get it. My Father has interrupted my husband in mid sentence if my husband makes reference to his dad or people in his family by saying "there's a lot of Pollocks where you come from", you see my dad thinks he's funny when he talks like that, and unbelievably my husband thinks he is belittling his family. I just can't believe my husband could get hurt over something so trivial especially since my Father does not mean to be hurtful. My husband is upset at me because I'm standing up for my Father over this. Unbelievable! How does other Christian women cope with living with an overly sensitive husband! Please help!
