I hesitate to post this, but sense God prodding me to share it with others -- as we are all asked to pray for our leaders and the larger realm beyond us.
Please refrain from giving personal interpretations -- I have already thought that end through, and God is pushing me beyond that. Please use it for lightly-informed prayer for people.
In the dream I was sleeping with dh, having mixed feelings but deciding to be committed to the partnership. It seems I represented either the US Congress or constituents, and dh represents the executive branch, who are in partnership in a trias politica balance of power. These branches have had contention lately, yet keep trying to work with each other.
I walked downstairs, and the entire downstairs of the house was gutted completely emptied and cleaned out. I knew that dh had declared his rights to be more important than mine, and just went ahead with getting things done the way he thought best.
This is also a familiar story in the US -- the executive branch ignoring the triad of Legislative (Congress)Executive (President)Judicial (Supreme Court), while using intimidation and insults to push agendas through. This time in my dream, they were not even notified.
Workers were painting, doing carpentry, cleaning. I had no idea where the contents of the house might have gone, or whether they would be put back. Everything was stark white or bare wood.
Those working were humming with activity and positive demeanor, knowing they were doing what dh had asked them to.
The dream's cleaning-out could apply to corporate services or international groups overhauling our economic situation. In a setting like that, those working would not be evil intruders, but hired specialists with authentic hope for improvement. The problem was not so much that the work was done, but that it was done without discussion... and i knew that in the dream.
I was enraged that he had not spoken with me about it first, and probably thought he was doing me a favor.
I charged back upstairs and kept shouting, "You can't do this to me, I run/own the house too." But he smugly smiled and expected me to comply and calm down.
When I went upstairs, i remember seeing the doors closed to all the rooms but his -- and his leg was hanging off the bed into the hallway. This reminds me of the doors to judicial and house being closed, deactivated, disabled... and executive's foot of progression/travel imposing where it didn't need to be.
In the end, I had a flash image of a few living room items restored (brown couch, a vase... things I didn't necessarily like but were the same... also the clutter, and dirt on the floor). It was embarrassing to see that I fought so adamantly for the more cluttered way, but still stood against the gutting and streamlining.
Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding us to pray for our leaders, and circumstances so far beyond our daily concerns. And thank you so much for the insights that come while plans are still being made, and still subject to change through Your intervention.
We ask that You send your Holy Spirit into the minds of those involved, and pique their consciences. Show wise options and unique solutions. Send your angels into rooms where decisions are made and actions are carried out. Soften the hard-mindedness of those not respecting the balance of power needed to keep the country strong.
Bring the best long-term solutions for all those involved, including every citizen and ever person who would bear the weight of a restructuring. No weapon formed against us shall prosper.
