Outloud... I'm not sure

Can anyone help me find scripture that assures me praying out loud does not give Satan ammunition?

Sorry if this is not the proper category for the question. I looked long and hard where to ask a silly question and this seemed most appropriate. Hey there should be a SILLY QUESTION category LOL.

The Sticky reads like this; This is an area where members can interact together to share as well as learn about a wide variety of beliefs through the civil discourse of discussion and debate.

Well I believe (until someone sets me straight) that my out loud prayers are heard best by God because I caught that scripture somewhere and I focus better when doing so anyway. But can't Satan hear my challenges too... I don't need to give him a leg up?

I swear there are times after long walks with God (aloud) that the topics I request help for and situations I pray to avoid are presented shortly after. Coincidence, maybe... but would Satan know what my challenges were for that particular moment if I hadn't present them out loud?

I could pray for others and just be thankful for everything without addressing my weaknesses or confessing my sins aloud and then take it internal when I pray for strength, armor and shielding from those things I know take me down a bad road.

I just notice that some things I just prayed out loud not to deal with... are suddenly in my face. So does Satan have the same capability as Jesus to hear our thoughts and prayers or can I just keep O'l hobs guessing by filtering the personal stuff?

I won't ever stop letting God have my little issues in prayer as He certainly likes to help with the trivial things :)

I don't think it would give Satan any ammunition, you just happen to notice when you pray for something not to happen that later happens. It is one of many of the logic fallacies humans are prone to; there are probably plenty of events that you prayed not to happen that also didn't happen. Also, if you are praying for it not to happen, that pretty much proves that there is at least some decent probability that the event was going to happen, otherwise you wouldn't be praying for it not to.

Thank you! I appreciate that, this might be something not clearly written in the Bible. I was going to ask my Pastor but thought to test the response here before I make fool of myself.

If its obvious that Satan reads our thoughts and knows our hearts as God does then someone might know this for sure but only if its written. I hope Satan can't because he takes every advantage to trip me up... he certainly would not pass on an open mike.

I highly doubt Satan takes personal time just to make your life suck. Besides, doesn't seem to fit Satan's personality, I always got the impression that the direct approach wasn't Satan's preference.

You can pray outloud with your eyes open while driving if you want, all that matters is that your praying to God and God will be happy

With all the noise of prayers, god might actually desire some peace and quiet ;)
