  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am a professional photographer and this young lady is a client.

As soon as I post seven more times I will then have full membership status and can add some of my photographic expertise (critique) to this forum.

I think the imaging themselves is very clear and well framed, however, your model is adorable but i think she looks stiff and uncomfortable in her posing, which i think her facial expressions show as well. I think you did a great job with lighting and your croping in the first image is right where it should be (yanno, not below the knee or appearing like she is missing limbs). I model a little and understand a few different concepts of photography, but am by no means a pro. Good job!

I pose somewhat in each photo that i take and generally it is a must, for one reason at least. However, the key is to look natural in your movements, when i model, its more like dancing. :)

yes, the flow of natural movement...sounds lovely :)

Thanks. I spent about 25 years learning from the master photographers of yesteryear on exactly how to pose light your subject, then after I mastered it turns out that in today's society no one wants well lit well posed images anymore. They want snapshots with natural posing (no posing) lit by whatever is there at the time of the capture, so I switched gears and shot a session where I didn't pose or light the subject I just let him do his thing. His mother hated them! She said they looked like snapshots that she could have taken!!!

Good thing I can retire in January!

Me posing. Not to brag, but this is very natural to the degree that other than being studio work, this is a good example of posing and expression. When i had black hair :)
