Out of body experience

I couldnt figure out where to post it so ill put it here. Last night for the 3rd time in my life someone thing happened thats hard for me to explain but ill do my best. I was laying in bad on my back going over thoughts in my head, and saying my prayers in my mind. At some point during that I must have fallen asleep. After that I felt like I was awake again, sliding, drifting off of my bed and heading towards the floor, passing through the bed. I distinctly remember hearing loud noises like objects falling to the floor and shaking. I was so shaken up that I must have realized I wasnt awake but at the same time I could see everything around me, because I saw my myself in bed and was jolted back into consciousness. I was awake then my eyes were open but my body was completly frozen. I tried yelling for help, it seemed like an eternity that I was kept frozen... I dont know how much time went by.. a few seconds.. minutes or what but I didnt like it. I felt like something evil was surrounding me. In my prayer that night I had specifically asked god to send any demons and satanic forces out of me and away from my family... After the time went by I was able to move again and I just closed my eyes and wanted to think it never happened and fell back asleep... but it did happen I remember the entire thing. Someone please tell me what this means. Im not asking if anyone believe what I'm saying here, I can't prove it to you with any scientific evidence... only what I truly know to have happened... Any feed back at all would be appreciated.

I would say that there is some thing big going on or coming soon. I've heard about so many ppl under spiritual attack lately.

The not being able to move reminds me of when ppl talk about sleep paralisis (sp?) and alot of times when ppl first wake up they are unable to move for a few min.
This is supposedly caused by your brain. It's supposed to shut down limb movement when in dream state so that you do not hurt yourself flailing around. How true all that is I'm can't tell you I'm not a doctor but it's what I've came across.

I also have felt the moveing/rocking sensation myself some times when realy tiered or sick just before I start to fall asleep but start to dream at the same time.

My wife when we were dating says I feel asleep on my couch (while she was at my house and we were wtching movies) With one eye open a few times. I told her no because I could seep movement but I guess I was realy asleep because she said I was snoring

Not sure how helpful any of this is though.

I've never had an out-of-body experience, but the "frozen" part of it does sound like sleep paralysis. I posted about my SP and people have told me that there may be spirits trying to get at me. I am re-dedicating myself to Christ. Have you made a major committment to the Lord recently or are you planning to? More involvement in the church? When did the experiences start? If anything scary happens in my dreams again, I am going to pray, pray, pray!

most dreams and or visions seem to be a message and its a matter of interperting that message and if its from God or from evil, it would seem that the message to you would be to look at examine your life and see what is of God and what is not of God, all that can be shaken will be shaken all that can be removed will be removed all that is not of God will be removed at his return . your experience as well as that of others is preparing us for that return. MAKE HIS WAY STRAIGHT!! examine your walk and remove that which can be shaken--not of God

Starforsaken, I consider both the spiritual and physical possibilities of your experience very valid. As Carolinamom and Rasitlinorr said, sleep paralysis has symptoms like this. These are medically-recognized, even with demonic visions. I posted this link on the other thread:

What you're describing though sounds a little like what people experience during a coma...the spirit leaving the body. Yikes.

I also believe that deceptive spirits harass us whenever they can, so hone your skills in fending them off. It takes conviction that it's possible, and a handful of spoken words. Resist the devil, and he will flee.

Demons shuddered and begged when they saw Jesus approaching at Gerasenes. You have Christ in you, beside you...you are one in the vine with Him.

You are in his flock. He will protect you when you call on Him. But with demons, you have authority when you use Jesus' name, because they know that Jesus is behind you.

And don't worry--it has nothing to do with deserving. God doesn't want demons harassing you any more than you do!

Starforsaken, I had almost the same experience happen to me - it was definitely a spiritual attack in my case; I was very troubled by it, but I figured out why it happened. A door was opened when some friends of mine and I had begun talking about seeing demons. The most mature person in the group recognized later that she should have put a stop to it, but whatever happened spiritually because of it caused there to be a door open for the enemy..... The next time this group of people were together, this person apologized for not putting a stop to it, and we prayed, and none of us have had this happen since then.

If I were you, I would ask the Lord to show you if you or anyone else has even unwittingly opened a door to the demonic.....

I absolutely believe everything you say and I do not think you are crazy.

I don't know you and I don't know your walk with the Lord, but I know that what has happened in your experiences people who worship satan actually are able to control that. They are able to leave their bodies to go somewhere else with their spirit. However, if this is not something that normally happens to you, then it could be a spiritual attack. I haven't heard it happen to a Christian before though, so this is something to look into.


I was kind of curious you said that you couldn't move. When you couldn't move, did you feel like something was on top of you? If so, it could be medical. HOWEVER, on the other hand, there could have been a demon on top of you. The same thing happened to my grandmother and she had a few other spiritual encounters with unclean spirits.

Like I said before, I don't know where your walk with the Lord is, but if you do have any open doors, CLOSE them to satan. If you don't close them, you allow them to come in. Open doors means that if you have any unconfessed sins or if you have acknowledge satan in ways such as oujia boards, tarot cards, spells, what talitha said, etc... These things are direct open doors to the evil one. Indirect doors are such things like unforgiveness, anger, etc...

However if you have closed the doors and satan is still trying to get at you, REBUKE him in the name of Jesus. All you have to said is "I rebuke you satan in the name of Jesus to leave me alone. I am covered by the BLOOD of Jesus." There is power in the name of Jesus and there is power in Christ's blood.

There has been many times where satan has tried to bring up things from my past in my dreams, but every time i just rebuke them.

Jesus is the victor. StarforSaken, you have unlimited resources and all the resources from God. Use them. Meditate and use the Word of God against satan. Remember the Word of God is the SWORD, which is an offensive weapon. Demons HATE it, especially Revelations because it talks about their death. Memorize scripture so that you can use it when in battle.

However, I do hope that you have shared this with people in your church. The Body of Christ is very powerful when we come together. I'm talking about the local church. Whenever things like this happen at our church, we fast and pray. Praise God that nothing like this has happened again though. Utilize your brothers and sisters.

John 15:6 says, "If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned" So we MUST remain in HIM.

well let me just give some extra info here. i dont go to church, i havent been to one in about 5 years and i never wish to go back to one ever again. from my experience... people at church have hidden motives are sneaks. id rather read my own bible at home, i know most dont think this is addequate but whatever. for the past few months i havent even been reading the bible, or even thinking much about god. ive had problems with anger towards others, cursing, pornography... etc... one thing good to come of this is now i have no doubt that the body is nothing but a physical form of transportation on earth...

Star, remember that God sees the sneakiness and manipulation as clearly as you do. He is our defender. You don't need to equate every action within a church as a move of God, or every religious stance as one He condones. He sees through all that.

it was really a terrifying experience at the time and also amazing. although what i felt while outside of my body was definitly a menacing presence.... i have no doubt in my mind that this was not a dream... ive had dreams that felt so real, like i was actually there but this was not one of them this was real. wheni had woken up being helpless and paralyzed there... it did feel like something was keeping me down... whether it was sleep paralysis or demonic i dont know... but this has definitly proved to me that the body isnt needed the spirit lives on... its a hard experience to type about... another you exists inside the body... the body just helps you move around...

Star, this whole experience must have really shaken you up. But yeah people are made up of Body (your physical), spirit, and soul.

I am very fearful for you and I am very scared what may happen or become of you. These experience are very serious. Star, I say this with the deepest love and concern. I hope you don't take this the wrong way.

Satan is out to get you. You have given him an advantage to get you because you are not apart of the local church. Star, I know that sometimes people at church can say things or do things that does not seem very godly, and many times it can really HURT. Trust me, I know, I've seen it and been there.

But you know, the bible says that satan is like a prowling lion ready to devour us. 1 peter 5:8 says it " Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

I mean think about it. If a lion sees a whole flock of sheep, would he go after the whole flock or would he just go after one? If he went after a whole flock, the flock would scatter. However, if the lion goes after just one sheep. That sheep is most likely going to be His dinner.

When you are not in church, you have no accountability and no one to intercede or pray for you. Yes, you may say that God will keep me accountable or intercede for me. Yes, He will do that, but God speaks through His people. Because God made us relational beings, we are to not only be in relation to him, but also to other members of the body of Christ.

Jesus never intended for us to be alone out there without a spiritual family. Think about it. When Jesus sent His diciples out, he sent them out two by two. The bible always talks about bear with one another.

Star, it is VERY DANGEROUS to be out of the local church and I believe what you are experiencing is part of the dangers. satan comes to seek and destory. I don't want to see that happen to you. God loves you and He does not want to see that happen to you.

Please it is very crucial for you both spiritually and physcially. What's happening in the spiritual can very much be brought into the physical realm and by then it gets really ugly.

Here are a few verses that the bible talks about belonging to the local church.

Romans 7:4
So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.

1 Cor 10:16
Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?

Where are you taking communion? Jesus did command us to take this in remebrance of me until He comes back.

1 Cor 12:12
The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.

2 cor 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Ephesians 3:17-18
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

There's a lot of other verses that I can list about being in the body of Christ, but here are just some of them.

I am sad that people you have encountered with was not a good one. I have switched churches because of that. There was just too much garbage in the church, but God has lead me to a church that has completely overwhelmed me with so much of God's love. God will also lead you to a church where you can be loved and cared for. Thiere's no promise that you won't get hurt. That's every relationship, but you will work it out TOGETHER. This is goign to be a step of faith that God will provide that family for you, and for you to act in obedience to that.

All those things that you are saying about "problems with anger towards others, cursing, pornography..." They will not get better until you come before the throne of grace and repent and get back into the Body of Christ. I hate saying these things very much, but I am only saying this out of my deepest concern for you. All these things you are struggling with including this experience, they will only get worst. When you indulged in these things, you have given satan the right to mess with you and God cannot do anything about it because YOU have given him the right. God will NOT go against your will.

You may be shaking your fist at me and may be very furious with me, but God loves you and He came to give you living waters, so that you can have an abundant life. He wants to Bless you and blow your mind away. Until you get back into the church and leave the life that you are living now, you are walking out of God's blessings.

I pray that you will get a revelation of all this. May the Lord bring to youi the victory in all these areas of your life.

alright to anyone who may still be reading this thread. i will never go to a church because well... the churches of today are not even what the original followers had created. christmas, easter, all the traditions? most of the stuff in the modern day church are all pagan traditions adapted for us. ive not read anything that says we must take communion... this is just a pagan tradition adapted by the early church.

i know you are trying to help me but i know it is other things in my life that caused this, not the fact that i dont go to church.

on another note... ive been trying to have another out of body experience and reading about astral projection

Starforsaken, please don't do anything like that to yourself again. Astral projection is NOT of God, and it could end up having TERRIBLE consequences for you. I myself have been under a prolonged demonic attack for about the past 3 years and I'm here to tell you that they CAN and MUST be defeated, and you WILL need to start going to church again. I tell you, there ARE churches that are Spirit-led in their ministry and they won't be houses of thieves and murderers. Not all churches are suitable, and it sounds like maybe you've been to a bad one. May I ask you what happened to you at church to give you such negative feelings regarding church? I'd honestly like to hear it, if you want to talk about it. If not, I also want to point out that the pornography, anger, and cursing problems were among MY problems when the demons came in 3 years ago...it had turned into an anger/resentment/hatred against God, and cursing as an abuse and blasphemy-in-private towards my God, and pornography was the excuse/escape from having to sit down and face the ugly reality of what I'd begun aforementionedly doing, so I'm here to tell you these sins can be a disastrous combination in your life with HEAVY consequences.

Oh, and BTW -- for the time during which I had been doing these things, I never attended church either. It's no mere coincidence.

My sister had a similar experience in an apartment she moved into. This thing held her down & she couldn't speak out against it. The only thing she could do was mentally call out to Jesus & gradually it let loose until she could verbally command it to leave.
The only thing we could figure is that someone in that building or previous tenant was messing around with some ungodly things to draw in a demon that powerful & bold.

Don't know how much you know about demons dude, but if I were you I would cease doing any action that gives them power in your life. They're brilliant & devious. & at this point they want you to think that you're in control of this power & what a trip they can make it if you allow them.

More then likely the deeper you travel into this*if you choose to continue on this path* they will start to show their true nature once they've got you spiritually hooked. They will do anything ungodly & nasty to you or sometimes to people you know only for their delight & thrills.
Hey I will pray that you take an awesome trip on the "wild side" with the Holy Spirit. I know someone that had Jesus walk rite into their living room & personally speak to them*they weren't Christian then, but after that they're life changed with lightening speed*People also can have spiritual experiences for the Lord.

I did read were this pastor was praying & he walked rite through a wall to the room next door & prayed over his ill friend*in the Spirit* Awesome stuff.

& yes Christians hurt Christians. It's true. I have suffered because those I trusted made false statements about me. But I do encourage you to ask the Lord to find even a small Bible Study group to attend where the people are loving & desiring the presence of God. There is so much help & support to be found among the rite people regardless of the size...Bcause where 2 or 3 are gathered in My Name I'll be there

I hope this makes sense, bcause Im sort of under the weather rite now. But just had to caution you like the rest here to be very wary of those that promise power & then destroy your soul in a heartbeat.

As it's already been spoken, Astral Projection is NOT of God in the least way, shape, or form. It's a type of divination which is blasphemous in itself and an abomination against God. The Lord said that earthly wisdom makes you spiritually foolish, and if the wisdom you seek is not of God, it is clearly of the world - which is of Satan in itself. Have you ever heard "for we are in this world, but not of it"? Nothing could be more true. This isn't a Christian's world - this world is governed by the ruler of the air and prince of darkness, Satan; and as such he and his fallen angels do have dominion over those who haven't claimed the power of Christ into their lives.

All have fallen short of God's glory, as He has said in scripture. Wheresoever you did so should you repent of your shortcomings and seek to grow more in Christ's image - this is the only way. Unrepented sin, willful sin[pornography, cursing, divination], and shortcomings[such as anger] are a part of your life right now. These things are opening you up for demonic target practice, and until you sever those ties, you can expect more and more of this to occur. I tell you bluntly because it's for your own good. I care more for your soul than I care for your feelings right now, and while I don't always like taking such a tone, sometimes it's needed.

Every Church has someone of the congregation who may come to hurt you one time or another - this is a part of life. As I said earlier, we ALL fall SHORT of God's glory, and to bear unforgiveness is to bear sins. Don't you know from scripture that if you don't forgive others their trespasses of you, your trespasses aren't forgiven of you by our Father in Heaven? There is only truth in the Word of God, Amen, and until you establish yourself in it and immerse yourself in it's truth you are succeptible to whatever threats may come your way from our enemy, the adversary, Satan. As said earlier, he is as a roaring lion, seeking to destroy whom he will. When you're seperated from the flock, which is the body of Christ, the Church, you are much easier to be influenced and led astray! In your unforgiveness and practicing of abominable things you are walking straight into the wide gate.

It IS no coincidence, as Ajax said. Satan is the king of lies. Do you want to know who the greatest preacher of this world is? The Devil. He's telling people that they have all the time in the world to get right with God. He's leading them straight to the wide, destructive gate in their spiritual blindness. He's opening your mind to possibilities that seem harmless enough, but are not of God, thoughts that exalt themselves above God, the very same thing he did to Eve in Eden, tempting her with forbidden knowledge. That's exactly what you're tampering with right now - that which is forbidden, disgusting in the eyes of God, an abomination to His will and a silent destroyer in your life.

In fact I'd go so far as to guarantee that if you rebuked your practices in the name of God and asked Him to search your heart right now and reveal if it is of His will or not, you'd get your answer. All I have to say is LISTEN to the still-small voice of the world.

Satan's done an excellent job. He knows that he can't separate us from God's love or from loving God, even if we've been hurt by the members of the Church. He knows that he can't stop us from adoring and worshipping the God whom we serve. Know what he's done? He's filled this world with so much hustle and bustle that we're allowing the noisy distractions of this world to hide the still small voice of God. Many of us have distances ourselves from His Word, His Love and His Truth to fill our agendas to mold with that of this world's agenda, drowning out God's intentions for us. Through that our minds have been opened to those forbidden truths I've spoken of - you can't escape it. TV and Telephone Psychics, false religions growing and expanding, our government allowing abortions and in some cases supporting the marriage of gays. What an affront to our Lord! Praise God for His divine longsuffering, a less patient God would have destroyed this world long ago...

But I digress...

The point is that if you heed the voice and Word of God, rebuke false practices and demonic entry ports into your life as we've both mentioned them earlier, and resist demonic doctrines, the Devil will flee from you and the straight and narrow way will be revealed to you once more.

Weary sheep, you have to return to the flock, also. The Lord is our Shepherd. He won't lead us astray. Even if you have to change your Church, you still need to be in fellowship with your Christian brothers and sisters. Without this we are succeptible to a devil's doctrine, those words which are pleasing to our flesh yet an abomination to our spiritual growth. We NEED to hear the Word of God from ordained pastors! We NEED to lift our praises and magnify God with a mighty voice! We NEED that fellowship that we might not find ourselves spiritually dry and feeling alone!

I tell you now as I feel it in my spirit, loneliness also draws darkness near to you. Don't focus on what this world isn't offering you in people, but in what God offers to you through His Word - what He shows to you through the works of His chosen. In Christ, we are never, ever, alone. Praise God.

Realize. Rebuke. Repent. Re-dedicate.

That's EXACTLY what the demon I've been battling since 2003 is about, gracechick. It even has the ability to "charm" me into thinking its laugh *(which is little more than a whispered "Ha!")* is adorable, and so has worked some INSANELY evil wiles upon me just with something as tiny and innocuous as a monosyllabic laugh.

Then, after prolonged periods of mental anguish and spiritual torment, I realize the demon's intelligence is not inferior to my own when it finally relents to speak in coherent sentences. Then, it's back to many more weeks/months of long, drawn-out provocation attacks. This thing is giving me a nervous breakdown.

Glory to God, who is FAR superior to any man, angel, OR demon in intellect and wisdom!

You know, I've never told anyone about this because the moment never came up, but I had a similar experience that has stayed fresh in my mind for nearly 12 years. Here is what happened. I was a junior in high school living with my dad and stepmom. I went to sleep one night like I always did--nothing out of the ordinary. Well, I woke up in the middle of the night for no particular reason and I laid there for a few seconds letting my eyes adjust and my head clear from the sleep. Well then I noticed a man standing in the hallway outside my door. He was looking the other directions and I thought it was my dad. I watched him for a few seconds and thought, 'oh, my dad is up, I wonder what he's doing up.' But then I realized it wasn't my dad and as soon as I made that realization, fear seized me and the 'man' stared right at me. He then charged at me full speed. I could sense this wasn't an ordinary man and I tried with all my might and intentions to move but I was frozen parzlized. In the next moment he leaped at me and then vanished. I felt like he went in me. After he vanished, I could move again like nothing happened. I always wondered why that happened, because I was a Christian at the time. I always wish I would have another opportunity to meet this guy so I could call out the name Jesus. I'm pretty sure I could mumble His Name out in that paralized state. I know that Bible scholars and everyone else will probably try reasoning this out as something not real, but it was definitely real. And sorry for scaring anyone with this story, but it is true. I'm not trying to open any doors or anything like that.

I believe you. However, do you think that it jumped into you? If you believe that it did, you better cast out ALL UNCLEAN things in the name of Jesus. How are you now? I do hope that you are well now.
