CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh yes, I agree!! There I am cowering under the load of life difficulties, remembering all the time of being lost and separated from Him! Then He comes and covers me with HIs robes of righteousness, comforting me, holding me close to Himself and telling me that I am now and forever more His!! What joy!!

I myself intend to paint it. The painting may not look exactly like the one here but I think it will come pretty close. I'll have prints available.

Ask your friend if the painting has a name! It actually look somewhat like those done by Gustave Dore. I so love his many paintings that are on my calendar I get yearly from a church in Oregon! They send them out for free and if its permissible I'd love to share the address to get them from! They're beautiful copies of engravings and when I first saw them I did a Google search on Dore as I was overwhelmed with the beauty and detail. The style is similar to me, though I'm certainly not knowledgable, just know what is appealing to me! The one you plan to do has great appeal to me!!

I am fimiluar with the engravings of Gustave Dore. I know what you mean, they are beautiful. I'll let you know what my friend has to say about this picture and when I paint it myself I'll post it. I appreciate your interest!

Here's a picture Graceful posted last year on a forum I visit. I think it is one of the most beautiful, tender pictures of Jesus that I have ever seen. I had to "bump" this one so the "newbies" could enjoy it.
