Our inheritance. Have you claimed yours?

Excerpt from Joy of Living Bible Studies;

John 14:27, the Lord told His disciples that they need not fear for, "My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."

Christians need, more than anything else, quietness, contentment, and peace in the Holy Spirit.

D.L. Moody once said, "A very restless man will never be a godly man, and a godly man will never be a very restless one".  "Did you ever think that when Christ was dying on the cross, He made a will?  Perhaps you have thought that no one ever remembered you, or provided you with a legacy.  If you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you should be happy to know that He remembered you in His 'will'.

While He gave His body to Joseph of Arimathaea (Luke 23:50, Mark 15:43),

He gave His mother to John to care for (John 19:26,27),

His Spirit back to His Father (Luke 23:46),

and to all of His disciples down through the ages, He said, 'Peace I leave with you.'

That is our legacy, His joy, His peace!"
