I like his voice and his songs and i was wonderin' if anyone knew some similar artists

btw, i don't mind if they aren't well known
If you've got a buddy who's in a garage band and sings the same type of songs and has a voice similar to Mr. Turner, than I'd love to hear :]

I also like Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks ^.o in case you know more like them instead

If you like AJ, you'd probably like Brad Paisley and George Strait.

Upon further thought...how about Trace Adkins? He has the deep baritone voice along the lines of Josh Turner. I don't particularly care for his style but his voice is good.

Trace Adkins, and to an extent Junior Brown. Josh Turner is almost more Southern Gospel than country. You might try music by the late George Younce.

As for Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks, I'd second George Strait and Brad Paisley. You'd also like John Michael Montgomery (the brother of the guy in Montgomery Gentry), Joe Diffie, and a Canadian singer named Paul Brandt. He had a huge hit in '96 with a song called "I Do." That whole CD was great...then he sort of disappeared.

Three more you might like: Joe Nichols (who is a George Strait clone...which isn't a bad thing), a Christian singer named Ken Holloway (an Alan Jackson clone; he even has a song called "Unplug the Jukebox"!). And the king of Canadian country singers, George Fox.
