Just a quick thought I had tried to write this earlier and then I got interupted. I know when we talk about other denominations of Christianity or those that are mistaken in thinking they are we can sometime be shocked by their thinking. But I have seen as of late some dispaaraging remarks that intended to poke fun more than anything else. Like it is a joke. IMHO of course. This is disheartening to me because my mother belongs to one of them and I have to pray for her Salvation constantly. These people are obviously being guided by something other than God or the Holy spirit. This would lead me to assume that is nothing more than the Devil Himself in sheeps clothing. These are people we need to pray for and endeavor to help but not make fun of.
I do conceed that this subject may be personal to me because a family member is involved but I was brought up one too. They do honestly believe thay are right just as everyone else does. And like I said it is just my opinion and thoughts on the matter. Maybe we should take some more care with what we say and who we say it about.

You make a good point. It can be tempting to poke fun but we should remember first and foremost that if someone is worshipping God with all of their heart and soul, what is there to poke fun at? Nothing.

I agree with you whole heartedly, Debi. We should never make fun of anyone, as all humans bear the image of God. We should respect them all as God's creation.

As an aside, anyone that wants to know about the thinking of Jehovah's Witnesses should read "Crisis of Conscience" by Ray Franz. He was a former member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. He gives an inside view of the workings of the WatchTower society in a respectful way. The book really touched my heart; it makes me sad that people can be so sincere in their desire to follow Christ, yet so misguided

No I did not geocajun because it has been a few so i just thought it better to put it up this way because it is not just the JWs but the Mormons as well that we need to pray hard for. I know some really nice people that frequent GA and are mormon and I pray for them because they are so nice but misguided. I think that the devil too invades us when we develop such an attitude so that we think it is a waste of time to help them. Trying to make us think they are unreachable or just beyond help and then he has won. because he has them in his clutches and we aren't diligent about trying to reverse it either. He has gotten to both of us and when i thought about that it made me sick. But I didn't think it was appropriate for the OP.

Regarding judging other believers for believing differently...St Paul teaches against it in Romans 14:

St Paul said "Who are you to judge someone else's servant?"

Romans 14:4

Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

So I think St Paul would agree with your sentiments Debi...
