Ever seen the Struggles and Depression section of CF??? It's thread after thread of people mutilating themselves, people with emotional and mental disorders, people with lost babies, people dealing with death and dying, sometimes suicidal thoughts, abortion, drug addiction, alcoholism. It's a microcosm of our fallen world over there. I hope some of you will take the time to go over there, read some of that stuff and just pray for those people. It just breaks my heart.

I just can't stand it.

Wonderful post.

While we sit here in our virtual Temple, or on the doorsteps, there are people out there lost, dying, struggling, lying in the ditch and bleeding. Let us not forget why we are here, and how we might, as our morning prayers ask: Glorify Thy Holy name ...

Thankyou Suzannah.

We must never forget that Jesus taught us to pray "Our Father", not "My Father". Salvation is communal, not individual, so we have a responsibility to look out for our brothers and sisters too.

I know that all too often I am like the priest or the Levite who passed by the beaten, bleeding man before the good samaritan finally stopped to care for his wounds and take him to safety.

Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy.
